Like its Turbiano cousin produced near Lake Garda, Zaccagnini Verdicchio is a seafood wine par excellence. It also matches effortlessly with grilled chicken, veal, and vegetarian dishes. Fragrant aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and yellow fruit greet you on the bouquet. On the palate, the fruit is rich, somewhat voluptuous, with plenty of flair. The white peach, citrus zest, and apricot notes are energized and laced through with subtle minerality and vibrant acidity. This is one of Italy's finest whites and is a worthy rival to the fine wines of Chablis.
