Ripe and appealing on the nose with a thread of wild violet, plum, spice, and of black plum leather, these lofty aromas transition on the palate to luminous notes of puréed black cherry and boysenberry fruit, forming a finely woven profile evincing finesse and an exquisite balance. The plush edge to the firm, fine tannins allows early drinkability, but make no mistake, this wine has the structure to evolve gracefully in the grand tradition of Ribera del Duero. This is the kind of wine you don't forget.
— Ben Giliberti, CW Director of Wine Education
The 2019 Crianza is 100% Tempranillo and hails from Aranda del Duero. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, it's a dark garnet-red in the glass. The nose presents ripe fruit and balsamic aromas with a subtle oaky presence. Dry with reactive tannins, the taut palate is complemented by mild acidity, resulting in an intense, flavor-packed red. This is a classic example of a Ribera del Duero wine.
