Considered one of the finest wineries of Argentina, Achaval Ferrer has established an international reputation for its Bordeaux-style reds, which include Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. This 100% Cabernet Franc comes from high-altitude vineyards in Tupungato, which offer excellent solar exposure and cool mountain breezes. These attributes allow the grapes to ripen under ideal conditions. Full-flavored and crisp, this Cabernet Franc combines the expressive aromatic complexity of a Loire Valley Chinon with the tannic structure and grip of a Right Bank St.-Émilion or Pomerol. Aged for 13 months in new French oak barrels, it offers savory notes of red and black fruit, tobacco leaf, and cassis, backed up by crisp, firm tannins.
La Cheeserie Pairing: Beemster Gouda (Aged 18 Months)
Considered the classic Dutch cheese throughout Holland, Beemster Gouda’s complex flavors develop slowly as it matures for 18 months. A firm texture with some crystallization with notes of toasted walnuts and a brown butter finish equal perfection!
