This wine is impeccably balanced, with the nuances of aroma, minerality, raciness, and savoir-faire that set white Burgundy apart from all other Chardonnays. It is pale golden/yellow with green lights at the rim. With a quick swirl of the glass, delicate floral, hawthorn, and white fruit aromas are released. On the palate, a generous ensemble of almond, yellow, and white fruit flavors are supported by brisk minerality. The fine thread of acidity running through the wine culminates in a classic Burgundy flourish of mineral and fresh earth tones on the finish. I recommend taking this wine out of the refrigerator 10 to 15 minutes before consuming to get the full expression of the complexity. Drink now and over the next 2 to 3 years.
