Produced in Burgundy on chalky soils by the méthode champenoise, Crémant de Bourgogne is the closest thing to French Champagne on earth at roughly half the price. Crisp, vibrant, and Champagne-racy, of the many excellent Crémant de Bourgogne I've tasted, La Grande Côte comes closest to Champagne, made just to the north. This makes it an ideal choice for Champagne's traditional role as the aperitif par excellence – that touch of bubbly that makes even an ordinary day seem like a party. Note, pick up one of our clever champagne stoppers; it will keep your bubbly happily dancing for two or three days in the fridge.
