Domaine Virginie Thunevin Description
Medium bodied, forward, soft, round textured wine, with a cherry, espresso and cocoa note, with a hint of licorice on top.
Vinous: 90 Points
The 2019 Domaine Virginie Thunevin showed well from the barrel sample. Now in bottle, it presents precocious black cherry, mulberry and clove aromas and a touch of licorice. The palate is well balanced with grainy tannins, fine weight, and perhaps just a little strictness toward the finish, though there is decent freshness.
