Description
Along with its sibling located just across the Loire River in Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé is arguably the world's most complex and complete rendition of Sauvignon Blanc. Expressing Pouilly-Fumé's flinty-clay terroir, the 2020 Domaine Lebrun offers excellent length and structure. Citrus and smoky undertones come to the fore in its youth, with a greater fullness and complexity developing with age.
This young goat's milk gouda is semi-firm and has mild, vaguely sweet, and refreshingly straightforward flavors. It has hints of butterscotch and caramel with only the mildest tanginess that shines beautifully.
