Made in the St.-Emilion satellite of Lussac-St.-Emilion, this fruit-forward, medium-bodied charmer is packaged in a beautiful antique bottle to grace your table. Opening with an appealing bouquet of garden flowers, cassis, and assorted red fruits, the wine is plush and supple on the palate, with alluring flavors of black cherry, blueberry and anise. While this wine can age well, its soft, polished tannins make it immediately appealing now – one of the great advantages of the fine 2019 vintage.
Carlos’ Cheese Pairing: Mimolette
A hard cow's milk cheese with a distinctive orange color. Produced primarily in Normandy, Brittany, and Nord-Pas-de-Calais, there are some that say it originated in Lille, France, while others think it was first made in Holland. Intensely fruity and nutty with a pleasant lingering finish, this is a real crowd pleaser!
