It opens with a vividly ripe bouquet of dark red berries and cassis, accented by subtle notes of vanilla/toast from gentle aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, the power and structure of the 2020 vintage are palpable here. The wine is filled to the brim with layers of deep blue/black fruit and freshness. In the manner of a classified growth, Donjon de Bruignac has a firm structure of tannins and acidity to support the abundant fruit, giving it an excellent aging potential of 5-7 years.
