Understandably, given the similarity of the packaging and presentation, a lot of customers seem to be confused about the distinction between the Les Charmes bottling versus Cave de Lugny's slightly less-expensive La Côte bottling. To put it succinctly, the difference is that moving up to Les Charmes will be the best $3 you've ever spent – high praise, because La Côte is quite worthy in its own right. However, Les Charmes comes from the estate's crown jewel, the Les Charmes vineyard, whose wines taste almost as much like a Meursault as a Mâcon. In addition, the vineyard is planted with the rare musqué clone of Chardonnay, which contributes a ripe pear/apple richness to the vineyard's distinctively racy mineral notes.

Fresh and fruity with aromas of flowers, nuts, honey, acacia and citrus. Medium-bodied and packed with delicate flavors of stone and tropical fruits with a slightly spicy finish.
