Description
While it's definitely not Sassicaia, I love this wine, and find it amazing for the price. Sporting a deep ruby red color, it opens with fresh, rich aromas of currants, blackberries, and pomegranate. In the mouth, supple and vivacious; it rolls across the palate with bursts of red berries and macerated cherry, seasoned by classic Sangiovese notes of violets, and subtle hints of balsamic. The soft tannins, typical of Maremma Sangiovese, make the wine ultra approachable and delectable now. A real treat. Enjoy it with pasta, pizza, veal parmigiana, and all the Italian classics, as well as red meats, grilled poultry, and vegetarian dishes.
