Glowing, intense ruby color. An expressive nose of ripe, soft fruit, revealing blackberry, blackcurrant and cherry, melded with notes of subtle vanilla and spice from oak aging. On the palate, balanced and refined, with a long impression of lively, ripe fruit. The pure, polished tannins on the finish are the epitome of the Médoc classified growth style of élevage. Drink now and over the next 6 to 9 years.
The nose is not really closed but is still holding back a lot: all the aromas are most definitely there, but they are hiding a little in the shadows. On the plate, it is obviously the wine's power which comes to the fore; the tannic structure is dense, tight-knit and firm, without being hard. A few more years of cellaring are required before beginning to drink this superb wine, whose balance guarantees a harmonious development in bottle.
This is another new chateau for us. Dark color, medium to full-bodied, with sweet, but firm, tannins. Hints of mocha, nice ripeness. Long finish.
