Antinori Description
Pian delle Vigne Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a vibrant ruby red color. Its nose offers aromas of small red fruit, in particular red currants and raspberries, followed by floral notes of dog rose and lavender and light hints of candied citron. Flavors on the palate are fragrant with lively tannins that lead to a lengthy, vibrant and savory finish.

The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino is dark yet perfumed, with lavender and violet tones giving way to masses of ripe plum and cherry. Balsam herbs and hints of chalk develop with time in the glass, adding further depths. This is silky and round, with juicy acidity enlivening its ripe red and hints of blue fruit. Sweet spices, hints of cocoa and licorice linger, as the 2020 tapers off long with just a hint of fine tannin. This showboat of a Rosso is going to win a lot of hearts.
