Our 2011 Sauvignon Blanc reflects all the positive attributes of a cool growing season. It’s wonderfully fresh and aromatic, with bright scents of pink grapefruit, gooseberry, melon and green apple. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with rich, vibrant citrus (grapefruit and kiwi), honeydew melon, spice and mineral flavors balanced by excellent acidity and a long, refreshing, mineral/chalky finish reminiscent of a fine White Bordeaux. A superb apèritif wine, our 2011 Sauvignon Blanc is also wonderfully versatile with food, especially salads and lighter seafood, poultry and pasta dishes.

WE 93
An interesting and complex wine, dry and crisp, and unique among California Sauvignon Blancs. Although there's plenty of citrus fruit, it's marked by other things, such as minerals and herbs, and the sweet, olivaceous taste that the variety's Sauvignon nature contributes in a cool vintage.

Crisp, bright, refreshing: three words that capture the essence of the 2009 Frog’s Leap Sauvignon Blanc. Classic aromas of lemongrass, white flowers and subtle mineral notes are your introduction, followed by flavors of grapefruit, lemon zest and delicate white peaches. The wine’s connection to its Rutherford roots is underscored with subtle flavors of wet stone. Lean and lively, the wine’s low alcohol and balanced acid make for a totally engaging and pleasurable experience.

Talk about food compatibility! Greystone is the Napa Valley headquarters of The Culinary Institute of America ("CIA"), which trains America’s greatest chefs. Since 1995, neighboring Markham Vineyards has been producing a small amount of Greystone Cellars wines exclusively for the CIA. Befitting the CIA connection, the wines are specifically designed to enhance the culinary experience of food and wine pairing. The 2011 Greystone Cellars Sauvignon Blanc offers impressive balance and sophistication, with bright acidity providing an intriguing counterpoint to brisk flavors of fresh Meyer lemon and white peach. A portion of the proceeds benefits the CIA's culinary education program.
