Varietal: Red Blend | Location: Australia - South Australia - Barossa Valley

WS 90
A blend of 98% Shiraz & 2% Viognier, this richly concentrated Barossa Shiraz is indicative of the style for which Australia's top production region is famous. The wine is dark in color, rich and dense. There are ample tannins balanced by the powerful fruit. You will note the hints of blackberries, mint, and eucalyptus flavors upfront and in the finish. Try Rubus Barossa Shiraz with rich dishes like lamb shank, Osso bucco, beef steak or roast duck. (from importer's website)

2008 Yalumba - Shiraz-Viognier Barossa
Varietal: Red Blend | Location: Australia - South Australia - Barossa Valley

WA 88
The wine has a crimson color with purple hues and flavors of violets and blueberries with a hint of ground spice and subtle minerality. It was harvested after extremely dry 2007 growing season when the grapes ripened early due to the higher temperatures, producing lower bunch numbers and small berry size. This smooth, medium-bodied wine will pair well with your favorite lamb dish, baked ham, chicken, and don't forget spicy ribs on the grill.
Bottle:  $11.99
Case Price (12): $132.00
