Our Sonoma County Chardonnay derives its flavor from a unique blend of some of Sonoma County's finest vineyards. hand-picked at the peak of ripeness, this 100% Chardonnay is whole cluster pressed to enhance fruit character then barrel and malolactic fermented to heighten flavor and enrich the mouthfeel.

Let California be California! The 2011 Riva Ranch is a sheer delight, a parade of luxurious Chardonnay fruit, all wrapped up in a silk-lined coat of clean new oak, yeasty notes from barrel fermentation, and sweet-buttered popcorn. Yet, as is typical of the Wente clone, the wine maintains its balance, with enough acidity to keep it dancing. Medium to full-bodied, with a rich, golden color (a signature of the Wente clone), with notes of honey, cinnamon and light floral, this wine has a round mouthfeel and a fresh, bold finish that is most satisfying.

Our 2009 Chardonnay is a vibrant wine with aromas of apple, citrus, and a hint of vanilla toast. The stainless steel portion of the blend contributes crispness and the sur lie aging in barrels rounds out the mouth with a creamy texture.
