 | | The name is a clever double entendre on both Bordeaux and the creative spirit of Paris' Left Bank. While the blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (47%), Merlot (14%), Cabernet Franc (3%), and Malbec (1%) is decidedly Medoc-style, the inclusion of Aussie-style Shiraz (35%) is a bit of poetic license that makes this wine work. Forward and easy-drinking but not in the least degree jammy, the juicy, black-fruit flavors are layered over a crisp structure of fresh herbs, green pepper, and intriguing allspice. |
