What jumps out first and foremost is the cedary, plummy bouquet accented by fresh minerals, reminiscent of a fine red Graves - that is the indelible nose of Cousi?o! On the palate, a solid core of concentrated black fruits is framed by light toasty oak and ripe, well-tempered tannins. Overall, the impression is of a wine that is supple and sophisticated, which is exactly what Finis Terrae is and has always been, despite its newly modest price. Although quite enjoyable now, the 2008 Finis Terrae is well structured, with an aging ability of 7 to 9 years. Decant one half hour before serving.
