Made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, Ch'teau du Cros is made in a refreshing fruit forward style, and offers notable Bordeaux savoir-faire. The flavors are a well-balanced m?lange of citrus, lemon/lime zest and light minerality, with a dash of Proven?al herbs rising toward the finish. The youthful fruit on the palate is nicely framed by bracing acidity, a hallmark of the fine 2010 Bordeaux vintage for both whites and reds.

This white was a new discovery for us from one of Bordeaux's rebels, Jonathan Maltus. A classic blend of 40% Semillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Muscadelle, it has incredibly concentrated, fresh flavors of white peach and honeysuckle with a touch of beeswax. Though the wine is made in 50% new and 50% one year old barrels, the oak is well-integrated and impeccably balanced. -- CW Wine Staff (April 2011)
