The 2009 Antiguas Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is a perennial Best Buy in these pages. Sourced from vineyards planted in 1932, it was aged in 1- to 4-year-old barriques for 14 months. Spicy red fruits, cedar, tobacco, and violets compose the bouquet of this surprisingly elegant offering. The 2009 vintage was wet and the wine lacks the concentration and structure of the better years but is still a solid wine as well as an excellent value. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
