Description:
This 600 bottle cuvee -- only 50 cases! -- is made from the oldest vines on the property. Some of these gnarly vines are 100 years old! Each vine produces a tiny amount of this sweet nectar.
Our recent trip to Bordeaux included a great visit to Chateau du Cros in Loupiac, just across the river from Sauternes and Barsac. Hiking up to the centuries old, original castle of du Cros, on one of the highest points in the entire region, was quite a thrill. Our friend Catherine d'Halluin is making great wines at du Cros and we're proud to carry them. |
