Coming from Costières de Nîmes, an up-and-coming region of southern France, Sainte Elisabeth's vineyards are situated on rocky, stony soil similar to that of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The full-bodied 2009 surges with warm, lush, Grenache-dominated fruit of plum, cherry and dark berries, with a hint of Provençal herbs on the finish.
