2003 Silvio Grasso - Barolo Bricco Luciani

Complex, aromatic nose combines redcurrant, plum, mocha and tarry oak. Intensely flavored but quite tightly wound, even a bit youthfully aggressive today, however the tannins here are rather fine and the finish shows excellent grip. Color: Dark garnet red. Nose: Very intense and persistent, complex, wild berries, blackberries, licorice, tobacco, leather, rose petals. Flavor: Round, soft, rich, ripe tannins, well balanced, persistent.
