 | Only 168 cases were made of this concentrated and well-structured blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%), Cabernet Franc (7%) (Merlot 5%) and Petite Verdot (3%) from Alexander Valley (65%) and Sonoma Valley (35%). Dark ruby-red in color and bright to the rim, this serves up an impressive bouquet of black cherry, cassis and vanilla from 20 months of aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, the fruit is powerful, concentrated and rich, buffered by firm tannins to provide structure and aging ability. Although enjoyable now with steaks on the grill and other hearty fare, this one is a long-distance runner, with the potential to improve for five to seven years in your cellar. |
