2008 Grayson
Cabernet Sauvignon
"Lot 10"
California

"Also noteworthy is the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 10 (6,700 cases). While it can probably be purchased for under $10, it tastes like a Cabernet in the $25-40 range. An incredible value, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 100% French oak, boasts a dark ruby/purple color as well as a big, rich nose of blackberries, medium body, supple tannins, and surprising intensity and length. Just amazing!"

Our "Big Bordeaux Sale!" e-mail from March 9th incorrectly listed the 2005 Lynch Bages sale price as $110.00 per bottle. The correct sale price is $99.00 per bottle.

We apologize for this mistake.

2008 Chateau Beaulieu
"Comtes de Tastes"
Bordeaux Superieur, France

"This is one of Bordeaux’s finest run over-achievers. Yields in 2008 were a lowly 19 hectoliters per hectare, and the crop was harvested between October 17-22. The result is a deep ruby/purple-colored wine with sweet black cherry, cedar, and spice box notes, a lush texture, and a fresh, pure style. This blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon is best drunk in its exuberant youth, but should age nicely for 2-3 years. A sleeper of the vintage."
